FMAudit™ Onsite™ uses a powerful data collection engine to capture in-depth print asset data. Being "device manufacturer neutral," FMAudit™ Onsite™ operates with ease in multiple-brand, diverse print asset environments including fleets having thousands of devices.

FMAudit Agent™

As with the other FMAudit™ products, the Agent pulls information directly from the hardware. This includes any compatible printers connected to a workstation via USB, parallel, serial or wireless.

For added convenience, the Agent may be deployed to the workstations via scripting, or a similar push approach such as SMS or Zenworks. There's no configuration required. The Agent service detects one or more locally attached printers and waits for an audit to be performed using the FMAudit™ Viewer, Onsite or WebAudit.

How it works...

The FMAudit™ Agent is a fully integrated component of the FMAudit™ product family. The printing environment is not interrupted and print jobs are not parsed to collect the information. Each time an audit is performed, the Agent service wakes up and communicates over the workstation port(s) and extracts information directly from one or more locally attached printers. The results are 100% accurate!
